Tim Welvaars
Tim Welvaars (* 1951 in Amsterdam ) is a Dutch jazz musician who became known as a harmonica player.
Live and act
Welvaars, who first learned the piano, began his career as an entertainment musician in Amsterdam, Nice and Tel Aviv. In 1986 he graduated as a jazz saxophonist at the Hilversum Conservatory. Through his teacher Jerry van Rooyen , he met Toots Thielemans in 1988 , who had a guru function for him on his own website. He worked as a studio musician or soloist with Stevie Wonder , Barbara Morrison , Ray Brown , Kenny Burrell , Lee Ritenour , Ricky Lawson , Roy Hargrove , Earl Palmer , Matt Herskowitz, the London Symphonic Orchestra, the Metropole Orkest , Bert van den Brink , Hein van de Geyn , Ralph Rousseau, Ilse Huizinga and Jan Akkerman . So far he has recorded 24 albums, many of them under his own name.
