Time Is Up is the second studio album by the US thrash metal band Havok . It was released on April 22, 2011 by Candlelight Records .

Emergence

The album was recorded and produced by singer and guitarist David Sanchez. The recording process took place in Sanchez's house, where he set up a small recording studio . For the song "The Cleric" the musicians use a washing machine and a tumble dryer as percussion instruments . Mixed was Time Is Up by Peter Rutcho while James Murphy , the mastering took over.

Sanchez stated in an interview that the album title would match the lyrical content of each song. However, each song would stand on its own, so Time Is Up is not a concept album . The song "Scumbag in Disguise" refers to people who talk badly about you on the Internet , but suddenly become very friendly to that person in a face-to-face encounter. Prepare for Attack is about a hypothetical situation in which a dictator takes over the world and people have to rebel against him.
