Timm Thaler is a German cartoon series from 2002.

content

The series begins with Timm Thaler, who no longer has any parents and lives with his aunt Tilly, sells his laugh, which can convince everyone, to Baron Lived for 66 winnings. As soon as Timm bets someone in the sixth minute of every new hour, what he bets happens. In this way he ensures that his blind friend can see Akiko again. Later in the series, Timm also learns that Baron Lived is the devil and wants to use his laughter to sell people his ice cream, which is contaminated with malava, a green, lava-like substance and makes people angry. Then Timm tries to regain his laughter together with Akiko, the samurai beetle Shu Shu and the inventive hamster Humpfrey, who worked as a circus hamster before he met Timm. To achieve this, he travels all over the world, through time and space, which enables him to make bets that Baron Lived must fulfill, even though he knows that Timm and his friends want to thwart his plans. In addition to Timm's nasty cousin Richie, the devil's henchmen, the strong but stupid demon Behemoth and the monster bag Astarod stand in his way. To defeat the devil, Timm and his friends need the stone of Avalam, which must then be connected to Malava.
