Timo Roosen (born January 11, 1993 in Tilburg , Province of Noord-Brabant ) is a Dutch cyclist .

Athletic career

In 2011 Timo Roosen won a stage of the prestigious junior tour Sint-Martinusprijs Kontich , in 2013 a stage of the Tour de Berlin . The following year he got his first contract with the Rabobank Development Team and won a stage and in the junior competition of Kreiz Breizh Elites . He then drove for Team Lotto NL-Jumbo from 2015 to 2018 , since Team Jumbo-Visma , and is part of Dylan Groenewegen's sprinter train . In 2017 he decided one stage of the Tour of the Fjord and the Tacx Pro Classic for himself.

Miscellaneous

In early 2019, Roosen's older brother, Sjors, a former cyclist, suffered a spinal cord injury in a traffic accident and has been in a wheelchair ever since . Timo Roosen, who started cycling along the lines of his brother: "I'm now living his dream too."
