The Timor Warbler ( Phylloscopus presbytes ) is a Southeast Asian representatives of the bird species of warblers .
features
The little bird has a cream colored neck and light yellow chest and belly.
Occurrence and habitat
The species occurs only on the Lesser Sunda Islands of Timor , Flores , Roti and Atauro . It is not considered endangered.
The Timorar warbler is a standing bird . It is mainly found in lowland and mountain rainforests, but also in plantations and thorn bush savannahs in the lowlands and in the mountains, for example on Tatamailau , on Monte Mundo Perdido , in the Nino Konis Santana National Park and on Mano Côco .
Subspecies
So far, a distinction has been made between two subspecies P. p. presbytes (in Timor) and P. p. floris (on Flores). The Timorese songbirds on Atauro are similar in appearance to the Timor subspecies.
