Timothy A. Springer

Timothy Alan "Tim" Springer (born February 23, 1948 in Fort Benning , Georgia ) is an American immunologist . He is a professor at Harvard University .

Tim Springer has researched relevant cell adhesion molecules that control the migration behavior of white blood cells. In 2004 he was awarded the Swedish Crafoord Prize for his very fundamental work in this field . In 1995 he received the William B. Coley Award . In 2019 he received the Canada Gairdner International Award .

In 1996 he was elected to the National Academy of Sciences and in 2001 to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences .
