Life
The Archbishop of Philadelphia, Cardinal John Joseph Krol , ordained him a priest on May 18, 1985 .
Pope Benedict XVI appointed him on June 8, 2009 titular Bishop of Floriana and Auxiliary Bishop in Philadelphia. The Archbishop of Philadelphia, Justin Francis Cardinal Rigali , donated him episcopal ordination on July 31 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Daniel Edward Thomas , Auxiliary Bishop of Philadelphia, and Michael Joseph Bransfield , Bishop of Wheeling-Charleston .
