Titular diocese of Floriana
Coordinates: 35 ° 56 '13.7 " N , 2 ° 25' 14.3" E
Floriana is a titular bishopric of the Roman Catholic Church .
It goes back to a lost bishopric in the ancient city of the same name, which was in the Roman province of Mauretania Caesariensis (today northern Algeria ).
The ancient ruins in what is now the northern Algerian province of Ain Defla have been partially excavated. From this historic site, a well-recognizable Roman road leads north to the coast of the Mediterranean Sea and south to the former oppidum Novum near Derrag.
