Timster is a German children's knowledge program that has been broadcast weekly on KiKA since August 2015 . So far, over 170 episodes have been broadcast (as of January 2019).

The program is produced by KiKA , Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg (rbb) and Norddeutscher Rundfunk (NDR) . The show is a media magazine for children of primary school age. As a media magazine, Timster covers many topics: books, reading, video games, internet, network culture , movies, television, as well as journalism and journalism . The program is broadcast weekly on Saturday and Sunday. In each program, moderated studio parts alternate with reports, scenic clips, comedic play scenes and explanatory graphics. The first broadcast was broadcast on August 8, 2015.

Timster is currently the only children's knowledge program on German television that deals with new publications for children and young people . Previously, this role was held by the children's literature magazine queried, which ran on KiKA from 2003 to 2015 .

Moderation

Tim Gailus is the moderator and namesake of the show . In summer 2020, Gailus will be alternately represented by the moderators Marti Fischer and Amelie Stiefvatter .
