Manuela Pizzo (born November 13, 1991 in Bernal ) is an Argentine handball player who belongs to the squad of the Argentine national team.
Career
Manuela Pizzo started playing handball at school at the age of eleven. After the back court player ran up for the Argentine club Don Bosco HB de Ramos Mejía until 2011, she joined the handball department of Estudiantes de La Plata . From February 2013 she was under contract with the Brazilian club AD Blumenau. After Pizzo played again for Estudiantes de La Plata in the 2015/16 season, she moved to the French second division handball Plan de Cuques. In summer 2017 she joined the Spanish first division club Rocasa Gran Canaria ACE . With Rocasa Gran Canaria ACE, she won the Spanish championship and the EHF Challenge Cup in 2019 . In summer 2019 she moved to league competitor BM Bera Bera . With Bera Bera she won the Spanish championship in 2020.
Pizzo was a member of the Argentine World Cup squad in 2011 , 2013 and 2015 . At the Pan American Games in Guadalajara in 2011 and at the Pan American Games in Toronto , she won the silver medal. She also won the silver medal at the 2013 Pan American Championship and the bronze medal at the 2015 Pan American Championship . Pizzo took part in the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro . At the Pan American Championship 2017 , Pizzo won the silver medal and was also elected to the All-Star Team. At the Pan American Games in Lima in 2019 , she won another silver medal.
