Tina Hedström

Eva Christina "Tina" Hedström (born May 31, 1942 in Solna ; † October 20, 1984 in Stockholm ) was a Swedish actress .

Life

Eva Christina Hedström was born on May 31, 1942 in the Swedish municipality of Solna.

In 1965 she made her film debut as the daughter of Gunnar Björnstrand and Gunn Wållgren in Vilgot Sjöman's Das Kleid (Klänningen) . She achieved international fame in the role of Ebba Livin with the film Geschwisterbett (Syskonbädd 1782), also with Gunnar Björnstrand. This was followed, among other things, by TV films such as the Tennessee Williams adaptation of the Glass Menagerie , which was directed by Gunnel Broström in 1965 , and comedies such as Together with Gunilla (Tills. Med Gunilla månd. Kväll o. Tisd).

In 1969 she played the supporting role of the Russian defector Tamara Kuzenov in Alfred Hitchcock's spy thriller Topas, which was important in the opening .

After returning to Sweden, she was unable to build on this international success. She only appeared in a few films and worked in a Stockholm flower shop to make a living. She had her last film role in 1975 as a mother in The White Wall (Den vita väggen) . Hedström died on October 20, 1984 in the Oscars församling (ecclesiastical administrative unit) in Stockholm.
