Tina Widmann

Tina Widmann (born April 26, 1960 in Karlsruhe , Germany ) is an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ).

Life and work

Tina Widmann came to Austria with her parents at the age of three, where she found a new home in Anif . Although she has lived in Austria since then, she had German citizenship and did not receive Austrian citizenship until October 25, 2010, three days before her appointment as Salzburg State Councilor .

After attending elementary school in Anif, she moved to the the private high school Ursuline to Elsbethen . She later graduated from the commercial academy in Salzburg , where the family moved in 1979. In 1986 she graduated from the University of Salzburg with a degree in law and then worked for the Salzburg Chamber of Commerce.

Between 2000 and 2002, she completed her training as a Protestant religious educator via distance learning. As a result, she taught religion , political education and law at various schools .

As a children's book author, she published seven books. The first of these was the book Die Schluchtensusl . In her self-founded group JufüJu (young people for young people), she and her daughter Constanze were committed to human and children's rights.

She has been married to the educator Paul Widmann for the second time since 2008. She has two children from a previous marriage.

On October 28, 2010 Tina Widmann was introduced as a "political career changer" as the new family and youth councilor of the state of Salzburg . After her appointment on November 10, 2010, she took over the work of the outgoing regional councilor Doraja Eberle in the regional government of Burgstaller II .
