Tino Danieli , in some sources Timo Danieli , (born June 4, 1887 in Buttrio ; † November 2, 1959 in Udine ) was an Italian racing driver and entrepreneur and the brother of Mario Danieli .

Racing career

Tino Danieli was a factory driver for Officine Meccaniche in the 1920s . His greatest success was second overall in the first Mille Miglia in motorsport history in 1927 . Danieli was part of the OM works team, which had registered three OM 665 Sport for the 1000 mile race. Tino Danieli drove together with Renato Balestrero and came home after a driving time of 21: 20: 53.600 hours, 15 minutes behind teammates Ferdinando Minoia and Giuseppe Morandi . Another 8 minutes behind, his brother Mario and Archimède Rosa were flagged as third. In 1930 he finished the race in 30th place in the final ranking.

He competed twice for OM in the Le Mans 24-hour race . In 1924 he reached fourth place overall and a class win. In 1925 he was fifth overall. Both times his brother was his teammate.

Entrepreneur

Together with his brother Mario, he founded a company in 1914 that later became the steel construction group Danieli .
