Mario Danieli
Mario Danieli (born April 14, 1879 in Fagagna , † October 22, 1955 in Buttrio ) was an Italian racing driver and entrepreneur and the brother of Tino Danieli .
Racing career
Like his brother Tino, Mario Danieli was also a racing driver for Officine Meccaniche in the 1920s . He and Tino competed twice in the Le Mans 24-hour race . In 1925 he was fourth overall and class winner. In 1926 he finished fifth overall.
His greatest success was third place in the first Mille Miglia in motorsport history in 1927 . Together with Archimède Rosa he drove an OM 665 Sport and finished 8 minutes behind his brother and Renato Balestrero . OM teammates Ferdinando Minoia and Giuseppe Morandi won the race .
Entrepreneur
Together with his brother Tino, he founded a company in 1914, which later became the steel construction company Danieli .
