Tito Ricordi (music publisher, 1865)

Tito Ricordi (born May 17, 1865 in Milan , † March 13, 1933 ) was an Italian music publisher and the director of Casa Ricordi .

Ricordi studied the economic organization of theater life in these countries while traveling through Germany, France, England and the USA. After the death of his father Giulio Ricordi in 1912, he took over the management of Casa Ricordi. Here he was particularly interested in the young representatives of music theater such as Riccardo Zandonai , Italo Montemezzi and Franco Alfano . He also organized international tours. He brought the opera Madama Butterfly to the USA, where it was performed for six months, and organized Giacomo Puccini's successful trips to Buenos Aires and New York. In 1919 he was the head of the publishing houseExit Carlo Clausetti .
