Titular diocese of Castello

Castello is a titular bishopric of the Roman Catholic Church .

It goes back to an earlier bishopric in the Venetian district of Castello . The diocese of Castello was established in 774 and dissolved on October 8, 1451 as a result of the establishment of the Patriarchate of Venice . It belonged to the ecclesiastical province of Grado .
