Titular diocese of Ptolemais in Phenicia dei Maroniti

Ptolemais in Phenicia dei Maroniti ( Italian : Tolemaide di Fenicia dei Maroniti ) is a titular bishopric of the Catholic Church , which is awarded by the Pope to titular bishops from the Maronite Church united with Rome .

It goes back to a lost bishop's seat in the ancient city of Acre , which was in the Roman province of Syria Phoenice or in late antiquity Phoenice in today's Israel . The bishopric was assigned to the ecclesiastical province of Tire .
