Titular diocese of Rutabo
Rutabo is a titular bishopric of the Roman Catholic Church .
It goes back to a bishopric in the city of Rutabo , which is located in the Kagera region of Tanzania . The Diocese of Rutabo was subordinate to the Archdiocese of Mwanza as a suffragan . As a result of the relocation of the bishopric to Bukoba on June 21, 1960 , the diocese of Rutabo was renamed the Diocese of Bukoba and the bishopric was given up in Rutabo.
In January 2009 the Diocese of Rutabo was founded by Pope Benedict XVI. rebuilt as a titular bishopric.
