Titus Buberník

Titus Buberník (born October 12, 1933 in Pusté Úľany , Okres Galanta , Czechoslovakia , now Slovakia ) is a former Czechoslovak football player .

The 178 centimeter tall midfielder began his career in 1945 in the youth of ŠK Slovan Bratislava , where he spent the next five years. In 1951 he played briefly in the youth of the ZSJ Masna Kročehlavy . As a professional footballer, Buberník was with TJ Spartak Košice VSS (1953–1956), CH Bratislava (1956–1968), LASK Linz (1968–1970), TJ Trnávka Bratislava (1970–1972) and Slovan Viedeň Trnávka (1972–1974) Contract. In 1959 he won the Czechoslovak football championship , three years later he was "Zaslúžilý majster športu".

On June 17, 1958, the Czechoslovak made his national team debut in the world championship game against Northern Ireland (1: 2 after extra time). He was also at the European championship in 1960 (two games for the third place in the European Championship) and the world championship (no use for the vice world champion) two years later in the national team. On November 3, 1963, Buberník played his last international match in the friendly against Yugoslavia . After his active career Buberník coached the FK Inter Bratislava , TJ Trnávka Bratislava, Slovan Viedeň Trnávka and the TJ Spartak Kablo Kladno.

In 1965 Buberník received his doctorate in law from the Comenius University in Bratislava .
