List of top scorers in the men's European football championships
The list of scorers of the European Football Championships Men covers all scorers of the finals tournaments of 1960 and 1964 even as European Cup discharged of Nations competition. Only the goals scored are taken into account here, regardless of whether UEFA uses the templates or game minutes to award the “Golden Shoe” for the same number of goals. In addition, the top scorers of the respective overall competition, consisting of qualification and final round, are listed.
So far, no player has managed to win the title of top scorer twice. The record scorer in the finals is Frenchman Michel Platini , who scored nine goals in his own country in 1984 . The record scorer at the European Championships is the Croatian Davor Šuker , who scored fifteen goals in the competition from 1994 to 1996 .
