Buffalo Grillz is an Italian grindcore band from Rome, founded in 2008 . She was recruited from members of various Italian music groups such as Natron , Undertakers and The Orange Man Theory and calls herself "All-Star-Grind-Combo".
Band history
Max Marzocca, drummer of the metal band Natron, and Enrico Giannone, singer of the Undertakers, started the project in 2008. The name was an idea of singer Giannone and refers to the steak house chain Buffalo Grill . The musicians describe their music as a mixture of grindcore, death metal and crustpunk . After a few line-up changes, the line-up consisted of singer Enrico Giannone, guitarist Marco “Cinghio” ( The Orange Man Theory ), bassist Luciano “Gux” and drummer Massimo “Mastimo”. In 2010 the debut album Grind Canyon was released on the DIY label Gangsta Paradise Records, mastered by Scott Hull ( Pig Destroyer ). Appearances with Entombed , Rotten Sound and Ratos de Porão followed . After the band's successful debut album, they decided to publish the follow-up album on a professional music label, because the musicians expected better marketing from it . Because of this, Buffalo Grillz signed with Subsound Records in early 2012 . The second album Manzo Criminale was released in June 2012, and an appearance at Obscene Extreme is planned for the summer in addition to a tour .
Buffalo Grillz plays Grindcore with influences from Napalm Death and Nasum . The tempo is mostly more than 270 bpm . The titles of the individual songs are humorous , which should be an expression of the self-view of the band, while the lyrics do not represent coherent texts in the conventional sense. As a reason for this, Marco cites the political conditions in his home country, which "stink to heaven" and therefore you can only "scream and break everything".
