Titus Meier

Titus J. Meier (born April 1, 1981 ; resident in Brugg and Glattfelden ) is a Swiss historian and politician ( FDP. The Liberals ).

He has been a councilor in Canton Aargau since 2009, and was re-elected for another four years in 2012. In 2006 he was elected to the Brugg residents' council. He is a member of the Health and Social Affairs Commission in the Grand Council.

Meier is also a member of the Cantonal Shooting Commission, of which he is President, as well as the Police and Conservation Commission.

He is a board member of AarReha and a member of the board of directors of the Medical Center Brugg, and he is a board member of the Association of Aargau Local Citizens' Communities. Meier is a historian and teacher by profession. From 2011 to 2018 he pursued his dissertation project on the Swiss resistance preparations for the case of occupation 1940–1990 with Rudolf Jaun .

At the end of 2017 he ran unsuccessfully for the office of mayor of the city of Brugg . In 2019 he ran unsuccessfully in the general election for the FDP for a seat in the National Council .
