Tobias Beyer (born April 23, 1966 in Berlin ) is a German actor.

Life

The son of the director Werner A. Beyer graduated from high school in Berlin in 1984. 1986: Studied acting at the Hamburg University of Music and Theater. 1990: permanent member of the ensemble at the Berlin Schiller Theater , where he gained important experience with the directors Alexander Lang , Katharina Thalbach and Benno Besson . He played "Lennox" in Macbeth (director: Katharina Thalbach) and "Thisbe" in Midsummer Night's Dream (director: Hans Neuenfels ). Via the Staatstheater in Karlsruhe (seen here as “Leonce” in Büchner's Leonce and Lena ) and Göttingen, his path led him to the Nationaltheater Mannheim, where he was seen in several productions by the renowned director Barbara Frey .

From 1999 to 2004 Tobias Beyer was the protagonist at the Theater am Neumarkt Zurich . This was followed by work at the Schauspielhaus Zurich and a Schumann project at the German State Opera Berlin . Beyer is first and foremost a theater actor but can also be seen in television films from time to time and also appeared in Gil Mehmert's film “From the Depth of Space” . In 2005/2006 he performed in Modena (Italy) and Madrid, as well as at the Theater Festival in Edinburgh, where he performed two speaking roles in Mozart's “ Magic Flute ” under the direction of conductor Claudio Abbado . In the autumn of 2006 he played "George" in Who is Afraid of Virginia Woolf at the Alten Schauspielhaus Stuttgart . From 2007 to 2010 he was a member of the Theater Bremen ensemble, where he worked a. a. with directors like Christian Pade, Alice Buddeberg and Philip Stemann . He has been engaged at the Braunschweig State Theater since the 2010/11 season.
