Tobias Dünow

Tobias Dünow (* 1972 in Düsseldorf ) is a German political official ( SPD ). Since November 20, 2019, he has been State Secretary in the Ministry of Science, Research and Culture of the State of Brandenburg .

Life

From 1992 to 1999 Dünow studied German Philology , Medieval and Modern History, Journalism and Communication Studies at the Georg-August University in Göttingen . After completing his studies, he worked as a speaker, later as spokesman and head of the press and public relations department in the Lower Saxony Ministry of Science and Culture . In 2003 he changed to the representation of the state of Lower Saxony at the European Union as a consultant for education, science and culture . Various activities as press spokesman followed , including for the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety , the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy and the SPD party executive . In 2018 he was head of division for the areas of digitization and the energy transition at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, before taking over the management of the State of Lower Saxony at the federal government on November 1, 2018 .

On November 20, 2019, Tobias Dünow was appointed State Secretary for Science, Research and Culture of the State of Brandenburg by Minister Manja Schüle when the Woidke III cabinet was formed . He became Ulrike Gutheil's successor .
