Todd Anderson is a German hardcore punk band with emo and screamo influences.

history

The band Todd Anderson was founded by Florian Seebauer, Daniel Bubel, Alexander Gockel and Marco Seeger in autumn 2004 in Marburg. In autumn 2005 Christoph Köhler joined the band as the second guitarist, but had to leave the band again in spring 2006 for professional reasons. After the recordings of When the messenger substances strike , Thomas Blöcher joined Todd Anderson as a permanent member of the band.

Todd Anderson's rough, stormy mix of punk rock and hardcore expresses itself through the change between rough and melodic riffs, as well as slow and pounding parts.

"This raging of the music, paired with a song that alternates between angry, often desperate shouting and rough singing, are the hallmarks of the five Marburgers."

- Andreas Wildner : below average

Todd Anderson's emotional, passionately angry screamo is reminiscent of the hardcore punk bands Escapado , Turbostaat , Pascow or Captain Planet . The texts deal with socially critical issues.

The band name Todd Anderson is based on the main character of the same name in the film The Dead Poets Club . Todd is an independent thinker who defies convention and dares to break rules.
