Todd Gillman (born February 24, 1967 in Winnipeg , Manitoba ) is a retired Canadian ski jumper .

Career

On January 17, 1985, Gillman made his international debut at the Nordic World Ski Championships 1985 in Seefeld in Tyrol . He jumped from the normal hill to 62nd place. Gilman made his debut in the Ski Jumping World Cup on December 30, 1985 in the opening competition of the Four Hills Tournament 1985/86 in Oberstdorf . However, as with the other three competitions on the tour, he was unsuccessful.

For the World Cup season 1987/88 he started with an 8th place on December 19th on the normal hill in Sapporo . He won World Cup points for the first time and was also able to achieve the highest ranking of his career. On the second day in Sapporo, too, he achieved World Cup points with 10th place and ended the season in 44th place in the overall World Cup ranking.

At the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary , Gillman jumped from the normal hill to 42nd and from the large hill to 54th place. In team jumping he reached 9th place together with Horst Bulau , Ron Richards and Steve Collins .

In the Four Hills Tournament 1988/89 Gillman only landed in the back places. He ended his active ski jumping career by participating in the Nordic World Ski Championships in Lahti in 1989 . He jumped to 40th place on the normal hill. From the large hill he reached the 63rd place.
