Todd Verow

Todd Verow (born November 11, 1966 in Bangor , Maine ) is an American filmmaker .

Verow, who played minor roles in plays as a child, began making films while studying at the Rohde Island School of Design in Providence . He earned the money as a prostitute on the street. He then studied acting and directing at Brown University and cinematography at the American Film Institute . He then worked as a cameraman and founded his film production company Bangorfilms . Verow's topics are the discrimination of homosexuality in society and politics and the confrontation with one's own sexuality .

Some of the films by the New York- based filmmaker have won awards at film festivals . The drama Little Shots of Happiness received, among others, the 1997 Grand Prize of the Jury of the Long Island Film Festival . The Trouble with Perpetual Deja-Vu and Once and Future Queen received Silver Jury Awards at the Chicago Underground Film Festival in 1999 and 2000, respectively .
