Toggo TV was a hands-on magazine from Super RTL that started on July 27, 2002. One episode lasted about 22 minutes. Due to the great success, another season was produced in 2003. Although they wanted to produce another season and only went into the usual broadcast break in summer, Toggo TV was discontinued in mid-2008.

history

On July 27th, 2002 the magazine started with the motto “You can turn me on”. The show was moderated by Nina Moghaddam and Paddy Kroetz , who had already shown Toggo viewers through the program a few years earlier. There was also the hazel squirrel, which was portrayed as not exactly wise due to many statements. The hazel squirrel was helped by a rag called a wailer. At first this appeared only as a supporting character, but was later mentioned or shown more and more often. The two got their own series of hazel squirrels in 2009 - this is where the duck cracks . The figures were played and produced by the puppeteer Martin Reinl . After almost a month, on August 25, 2002, Toggo TV went into the summer break. From March 16 to May 11, 2003, Toggo TV was broadcast again until August 31, 2008, when a summer break was taken. After a few years, the concept of the show was revised. Many old rubrics have been removed from the show. In addition, the show now had a live audience.

At the end of 2006, the music project Die Toggo 5 was formed from five moderators in order to publish a Christmas single.

The studio in which Toggo TV was produced previously served from 1993 to 1998 the program Vivasion , moderated by Stefan Raab , on the now discontinued VIVA channel .

Shipment process

First concept

Post corner

Letters and posters from the audience were presented to the public in the post corner. Nina often read passages from fan mail together with Paddy.

Question of the shipment

Shortly after the post corner, the question of the day is presented by the hazel squirrel. Once the question was asked, viewers had the chance to vote over the phone.

Star guest

There was a star guest in every episode of Toggo TV. Some of them were Banaroo , Blümchen and LaFee .

The mysterious wall

The studio guest had to put his hands through two holes in the wall. Paddy stood behind the wall, guiding the guest's hands to a plate with unknown contents. The guest now had to guess what was on the plate.

Toggo stars

In every episode, Nina looked for a "Toggo Star" who then appeared on the show.

Paddy on the go

In many episodes, Paddy was out looking for strange things in everyday life. Most of the time it was absurd sports that Paddy always tried out himself in the end.

Answer to the question of the broadcast

At the end of each episode, the question of the day was resolved. One viewer made it onto the show, answered the question and won the award.

Second concept

Post corner

Letters and posters from viewers were also presented to the public in the new version of Toggo TV .

All the time

One after the other, five objects ran across the conveyor belt. Then the audience had a minute to list the terms and thereby get points. Each point meant € 1 for the class fund.

Star guest

The new Toggo TV also had a star guest every week.

Question of the shipment

The question of the day was presented by the hazel squirrel. Once the question was asked, viewers had the chance to vote over the phone. In contrast to concept 1, the winner was only announced in the show towards the end and no longer put through to the studio.

Clothes box

Finally there was the clothes box. In this, the guest competed against Paddy. Two children from the audience gave the clothes to wear from the clothes boxes. One lap lasted 40 seconds.
