The film shows how child friends Bill Kaulitz , Tom Kaulitz , Georg Listing and Gustav Schäfer went from backyard musicians in Magdeburg to celebrated world stars. He tells the everyday life of the Kaulitz brothers, who now live in Los Angeles and contrasts this with the small town life of Georg Listing and Gustav Schäfer in Magdeburg. Finally, the protagonists come together again to record the record in Berlin and prepare for the next world tour.
