Tolcay Ciğerci [ ˈtɔld͡ʒaɪ ˈd͡ʒiːɛɾd͡ʒi ] (born January 24, 1995 in Nordenham ) is a Turkish football player who also has German citizenship .
Career
societies
Ciğerci moved with his parents to Peine as a child and joined TSV Arminia Vöhrum there . He later moved to VfB Peine before joining the VfL Wolfsburg youth training center . In 2012 he joined VfL's U-19s.
In 2014 he moved to the second team of Hamburger SV in the Regionalliga Nord on a free transfer . He should primarily train with the professionals, but mostly play in the U-23. On September 24, he played his first Bundesliga game in the 0-1 away defeat against Borussia Mönchengladbach . At HSV, however, Ciğerci could not prevail. He left the club after the 2015/16 season.
In January 2016 he joined the U23 team at SpVgg Greuther Fürth . Since the 2017/18 season he played for the first team in the 2nd Bundesliga .
In mid-July 2018 he terminated his contract with Greuther Fürth, was without a club for a short time and joined the Berlin AK 07 in October 2018 .
National team
In 2013, Ciğerci played two games for the Turkish U-18 national team .
Private
Ciğerci's older brother Tolga (* 1992) is also a professional footballer.
