The Tolschma ( Russian То́лшма ) is a right tributary of the Sukhona in the Russian oblasts of Kostroma and Vologda .

The Tolschma rises in the Galitscher Heights in the Kostroma Oblast. It flows in a predominantly north-westerly direction into the Vologda Oblast. Finally it reaches the right bank of the Suchona at river kilometer 331.

The Tolschma has a length of 157 km. It drains an area of ​​1540 km². It is mainly fed by the snowmelt . The river floods in April and May . It is covered with ice between the beginning of November and the end of April. At least earlier, the river was used for rafting .
