Tomáš Mrázek

Tomáš Mrázek (born August 24, 1982 in Brno ) is a Czech sport climber .

Success in competitive sports

After he was runner-up at the 2001 World Climbing Championships, he won the title in difficult climbing in 2003 and 2005. In 2004 he won the overall world cup . In 2006 he finished second. In 2001 he won his first World Cup in Aprica (Italy) and won the Rock Master in Arco . Until 2006 he was able to win another eight World Cups.

Difficult paths in the natural rock

In May 2002 he achieved his first 9a on the French scale with Underground in Massone ( Arco ) . This he followed with Sanjski par extension and Martin Krpan in Osp , Slovenia , two more trails of this level of difficulty. In August 2005 he and Petra Negra succeeded in possibly the first onsight ascent of a route in grade 8c (UIAA 10 + / 11-). His currently hardest first ascent is the 45-meter-long route Xaxid hostel with a level of difficulty 9a + . He succeeded in 2009 in Osp.
