Tom's restaurant
Tom's Restaurant is a public house in New York City . It is located in the Morningside Heights neighborhood at the intersection of Broadway and 112th Street. It has been run by a Greek family since the 1940s. Guests are mostly students and staff from nearby Columbia University .

Tom's Restaurant is sung about by Suzanne Vega in the song Tom's Diner (1987). There is also a mention of the restaurant in Meredith Sue Willis' novel Trespassers (1997).
The diner achieved international fame mainly as one of the main locations of the television series Seinfeld . The facade of the restaurant served as the exterior view of Monk's Cafe .
