Tom Alby

Tom Alby (* 1972 in Duisburg ) is a German digital expert, author and speaker .

Life and work

Alby studied English , German and computer science with a focus on computational linguistics at Bielefeld University . He has worked for various search engines since 1999, including Lycos Europe , Seekport , Ask.com and Google . Since November 2018 he has been Chief Digital Transformation Officer at the credit insurer Euler Hermes . Alby has a teaching position at the HAW Hamburg .

Alby was a member of the jury for the Grimme Online Awards in 2009, 2010 and 2011.
