Tom Deman (born March 10, 1995 in Ypres ) is a Belgian football player .
Career
Deman was born in 1995 in Ypres, in the province of West Flanders , and grew up in the not far away municipality of Langemark-Poelkapelle . He began his football career at KVK Westhoek and moved from there in 2005 to the youth division of the Belgian Cup and Super Cup record winners as well as 13-time Belgian champions FC Bruges . There he was trained up to and including the 2008/09 season before he changed clubs again and was accepted by KV Kortrijk in its youth department. At the club, which is also based in West Flanders, he went through all divisions before he played for the first time in a competitive match for the club's professional team in the 2013/14 season , the 111th season in the top Belgian football league. At this time he was still active as a player in the U-19 and U-21 youth teams and attended VTI Ypres , a vocational college for science and technology. In his fifth season at KV Kortrijk Deman was used on September 1, 2013 in the away game against Standard Liège by coach Hein Vanhaezebrouck for Gregory Mahau , who was about a year older, in the 86th minute of the game. The game ended in a 2-0 defeat for his team. Until 2015 there was no further game in the first team, so Deman moved back to his home club KVK Westhoek . A year later he joined Vlamertinge SK and since 2018 he has been under contract with Sassport Boezinge .
