Tom Lampert
Tom Lampert (* 1962 in Boston ) is an American political scientist and writer .
Lampert studied political science at Stanford and received his PhD from Cornell University on Max Weber . He has been working as a freelance translator and science writer since 1998 . He lives in Berlin .
After several years of research in German, American, Polish and Dutch archives about German society at the time of National Socialism and the Holocaust , in 2001 he published the highly acclaimed study One Life , in which he traces the life stories of eight perpetrators and victims. In addition, he researched, among other things, "seized valuables of French Jews in occupied France ".
