Tom Prinsen (born September 9, 1982 in Hengelo ) is a Dutch speed skater .

Tom Prinsen made his debut on the international stage in 2001 at the Junior World Championships in Little Quadruple in Groningen , where he finished eighth. A year later he finished fifth in Klobenstein , with the team he won the bronze medal. Prinsen contested his first World Cup race in November 2003 over 10,000 meters in Erfurt . He won the group B race straight away. A week later, he finished fourth in the A group in the 5000 meter race in Heerenveen . At the all-round world championships in 2004 in Hamar , he was sixth. In the overall world cup over 5000 / 10,000 meters, he finished tenth. After the 2003/04 season, he no longer competed internationally. It was not until the beginning of the 2007/08 season that he competed internationally again and immediately took seventh place over 5000 meters in his first race in Kearns .

Prinsen has been playing for Team Telfort since the 2006/07 season , where he is trained by Ingrid Paul.
