Tom Schoeps

Tom Schoeps is a German game designer who became known primarily for the board games he developed, Bauernschlau from 1991 and Die Dracheninsel from 2003.

biography

Tom Schoeps worked as a teacher for biology at a Hamburg high school. He published his first games in the late 1980s, after attending the Göttingen game designers meeting for the first time in 1986 . In 1991, Schoeps developed the game Bauernschlau , which was included on the shortlist of the game of the year . Numerous other game publications followed by various publishers. In 1995, the Star Sky game published by Goldsieber Verlag was voted third in the German Game Prize . The most famous game by Schoeps was Die Dracheninsel von 2003, which was nominated for the game of the year and was awarded the Austrian game prize for the game of games as a “game hit for families”.
