Tom Shaka
Tom Shaka (last name actually: Sciacca, born April 9, 1953 in Middletown , Connecticut ) is an American blues musician of Italian origin.
At the age of 11 Shaka learned to play the guitar, in his youth he trundled through the USA until he found himself in Europe in 1976. First he worked in Amsterdam , later in London as a professional musician. Among other things, he worked as a house musician in Amsterdam's red light district, where he was able to gain a lot of experience in the European jazz and blues scene. In 1977 he came to Hamburg and became known through appearances in the cult and culture pub Onkel Pö , a legendary Hamburg institution of the 1970s. Today he lives in the Lüneburg Heath south of Hamburg.
