Tomasz Różycki

Tomasz Różycki (born May 29, 1970 in Opole ) is a Polish poet and translator .

Life

Różycki attended high school in Opole. After graduating from high school in 1989, he studied Romance languages at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow . During his studies he made his debut with the poem Je vois la suite, już po tamtej stronie… , which was published in the magazine Czas Kultury . After completing his studies, he taught French literature and language at the Foreign Language Teachers College in Opole until 2006 and then at the University of Opole . He also started working as a columnist for Teatr magazine in 2007 . In 2008 he was a member of the jury for the Kościelski Prize . In 2009 he was a fellow at the Vermont Studio Center in the USA . In 2010 he started working as a commentator on the radio show Między słowami on Polskie Radio 2 . In 2011 he led a creative writing workshop at the University of Opole.

He lives in Opole.
