Tommi Rajamäki (born February 29, 1976 in Pori ) is a former Finnish ice hockey player who played for Ässät Pori and TPS Turku in the SM-liiga and Timrå IK in the Elitserien , among others .

Career

Tommi Rajamäki began his career as an ice hockey player in his hometown in the youth department of Ässät Pori . As a junior player, he was selected in the seventh round of the 1994 NHL Entry Draft as a total of 178th player from the Toronto Maple Leafs , for which he never played. Instead, the defender stayed with Ässät Pori, for whose professional team he ran from 1994 to 1997 in the SM-liiga , the highest Finnish league. He then got a contract with TPS Turku . With the team he was Finnish champion three times in a row in 1999, 2000 and 2001 . At European level, he took third place in the European Hockey League with the 2000 team . After four years, the left shooter TPS left Turku again and was committed to the 2001/02 season by Timrå IK from the Swedish Elitserien . There he was a regular for three years before ending his career at the age of 28.

International

For Finland Rajamäki took part in the U20 World Junior Championships in 1995 and 1996 .
