Tomoki Nojiri

Tomoki Nojiri ( Japanese 野 尻 智 紀 , Nojiri Tomoki ; born September 15, 1989 ) is a Japanese racing car driver . He started in the Super Formula in 2014 and 2015 .

Career

Nojiri began his motorsport career in karting in 2004 , where he was active until 2007. In 2009 he switched to the single-seater racing and entered the Japanese Challenge formula to. He finished the season in fifth place. He also made a guest appearance in the Pacific Formula BMW . In 2010 Nojiri again reached fifth place overall in the Japanese Formula Challenge. He also made another guest start in the Pacific Formula BMW.

In 2011 Nojiri moved to the Japanese Formula 3 Championship , where he received a cockpit at HFDP Racing . He started in the national class and won this class three times. At the end of the season he was in second place. In 2012 Nojiri competed in the main ranking of the Japanese Formula 3 championship. He won a race and was on the podium six times. He finished the season in fifth place in the drivers' championship. In 2013 Nojiri moved to Toda Racing within the Japanese Formula 3 championship . He achieved six podium finishes and improved to fourth overall. In 2013 Nojiri also contested two races for the Autobacs Racing Team Aguri in the Super GT .

In 2014 Nojiri switched to Dandelion Racing in the Super Formula . He won a race and finished the season in tenth place in the drivers' standings. In addition, he drove for Team Mugen in the GT300 class of the Super GT. He finished third once and reached tenth place in the GT300 classification. In 2015 Nojiri stayed with Dandelion Racing in the Super Formula. With two third places, he was seventh overall. He also started for the Autobacs Racing Team Aguri together with Kosuke Matsuura in the Super GT. The two finished the championship in 14th place.
