Toni Danzer

Toni Danzer (born February 19, 1891 in Munich ; † December 1, 1951 in Dachau ) was a German painter who mainly produced watercolors.

Live and act

He was a technical draftsman and later worked as a community representative for the pension insurance. In his free time he devoted himself to painting. He was self-taught in this regard. His apartment was completely bombed out during World War II. In 1945 he moved to Dachau. He lived there until his death. The artist preferred the area around Dachau or the Blutenburg for his pictures . These are mostly summer landscapes with little decorative accessories.

Toni Danzer was married to Clara Besch since 1920. The marriage produced a daughter.

Artistic work

In his depictions he preferred strong colors and a broad brushstroke .
