Toni Englert (born July 12, 1988 in Erlabrunn ) is a former German Nordic combined athlete . In 2005 he was German youth championship 17/18, 2006 junior team world champion and in 2009 runner-up at the Continental Cup Nordic Combined in Whistler (British Columbia) in Canada .

Life

Toni Englert grew up in Johanngeorgenstadt in the Saxon Ore Mountains , where he became a member of WSV 08 Johanngeorgenstadt and in 2000 he was awarded the title of German School Master for the first time. In 2002 he took part for the first time in an international FIS race in Klingenthal , where he finished 49th. In 2006 he took part in the youth world championships in Kranj , where he won the gold medal as a member of the German national team in the relay. Due to his success in the team and his 8th place in the individual, Toni Englert was also eligible to start the A-World Cup. In 2007 he took 3rd place at the German Championships. At the World Championships in Zakopane in 2008 he was 25th in the sprint. On February 14th, 2009 he took part in the World Cup in Klingenthal for the first time. In the Continental Cup in 2009 in Whistler, he finished 2nd.

After Toni Englert took part in the 2011 FIS Continental Cup Nordic Combined, he ended his active career.
