Kenny "kennyS" Schrub (born May 19, 1995 ) is a French e-athlete who became known for his success in the discipline Counter-Strike: Global Offensive .

Career

Schrub played in Counter-Strike: Source for smaller clans until 2012 . In April 2012 the French player , who played under the nickname kennyS , was accepted into Team VeryGames . After success at the British LAN party insomnia or the ESL Major Series in Counter-Strike: Source, the team switched to the new game Counter-Strike: Global Offensive at the end of August 2012 . Towards the end of 2012, the VeryGames team was one of the world's best teams. However, at the Electronic Sports World Cup 2012 or at the DreamHack Winter 2012 , they had to admit defeat to the almost invincible ninjas in pajamas at the time . In May 2013 Schrub was replaced by Richard "shox" Papillon at Team VeryGames . In the months that followed, kennyS played for several organizations. At the first major tournament , the DreamHack Winter 2013 , the Frenchman reached the round of 16 with Recursive eSports . In April 2014 Schrub switched to Titan eSports . The Frenchman was able to contribute significantly to success in this team with his achievements as a sniper. KennyS achieved a K / D rate of 1.46 on the Gfinity G3 Lan . After the team had consistently unsatisfactory results, Schrub switched to Team EnVyUs in July 2015 . In August 2015 he and his new team achieved two successes in Cologne . Team EnVyUs won at the first event of the ESL Intel Extreme Masters , the IEM X - gamescom, and came second at the ESL One Cologne 2015 . Two victories in the United Kingdom followed in September at DreamHack London 2015 and at the Gfinity Champion of Champions 2015 event . In the third and final major tournament of 2015, the Dreamhack Cluj-Napoca , Schrub achieved his greatest success to date with EnVyUs . By winning the tournament, the team was able to consolidate its place at the top of the CS: GO esports scene. On December 3, Kenny Schrub won The Game Award 2015 in the Esports Player of the Year category .

In February 2017, G2 Esports signed the French. The first big success with the new organization was winning the fifth edition of the ESL Pro League .
