Counter Strike: Global Offensive
History and successes
Team LDLC already had talented players like Richard "shox" Papillon or Edouard "SmithZz" Dubourdeaux under contract in Counter-Strike: 1.6 and Counter-Strike: Source. However, the French only made it to the top of the world in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive . On January 13, 2013, Team LDLC took over the five players Vincent "Happy" Schopenhauer , Mathieu "Maniac" Quiquerez , Dan "apEX" Madesclaire , Mathieu "MaT" Leber and Fabien "atLaNtis" Deguiraud who had previously worked for the clan eXtensive! played. After Mathieu “MaT” Leber was replaced by Gordon “Sf” Giry in March and Fabien “atLaNtis” Deguiraud by Kenny “kennyS” Schrub in May, this roster celebrated its first small successes. In the Fnatic FragOut CS: GO League Season 2 , the team was able to leave the high- flyer of 2013, the ninjas in pajamas , behind. After the organization split from the players in August 2013, Team LDLC Counter-Strike stayed away for half a year.
On February 2, the French took over the roster of the quarter-finalists of DreamHack Winter 2013 Recursive eSports . The lineup consisting of Vincent “Happy” Schopenhauer, Kévin “Uzzziii” Vernel, Mathieu “Maniac” Quiquerez, Dan “apEX” Madesclaire and Hovik “KQLY” Tovmassian lasted until September 2014. During this time, this team reached the quarter-finals of EMS One Katowice 2014 and the semifinals of ESL One Cologne 2014 . As a result of restructuring in the French scene combined with player changes with the other two French top teams Titan eSports and Epsilon eSports , only Vincent "Happy" Cervoni remained for LDLC. New to the roster came Nathan "NBK" Schmitt , Richard "shox" Papillon , Edouard "SmithZz" Dubourdeaux and Fabien "kioShiMa" Fiey . The team found itself quickly and reached the top level worldwide. Evidence was winning the Main Event Dreamhack Winter 2014, in which the team 100,000 USD prize money won.
The year 2015 got off to an optimal start for Team LDLC . The team won the gold medal at the 2015 MLG X Games Invitational in Aspen . On February 1, the players split from the organization. A few weeks later, Team LDLC signed two roster players with the players from the clans Awsomniac and Platinium . However, these teams were only able to establish themselves regionally. At the Paris Games Week of the Electronic Sports World Cup 2015 , the two lineups took the first two places in the national environment. Both teams were released in April 2016.
On April 19, 2016, a new lineup around Kévin "Ex6TenZ" Droolans was presented. Team LDLC has been participating in the ESL Pro League since the fifth season . In November 2017, LDLC won the ESports World Convention by beating the German team BIG in the final.
