Ines-Jacqueline Werkner (* 1965 ) is a German social scientist .

Life

Werkner studied social sciences (diploma) from 1990 to 1995 at the Humboldt University in Berlin . In 2000, she was a political science doctoral thesis at the Free University of Berlin to Dr. rer. pole. PhD. 2007 habilitation they are in the subject Political Science . Since 2007 she has been a private lecturer at the Otto Suhr Institute for Political Science .

In 2008/09 she was Research Director at the European University Center for Peace Studies in Stadtschlaining (Austria). In 2009/10 she represented the professorship for international politics and society at the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel . From 2010 to 2014 she was an academic assistant at the Institute for Political Science at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg . In 2011/12 she represented the professorship for politics and religion at the University of Lucerne (Switzerland). Since 2012 she has been a research assistant at the research facility of the Evangelical Study Community in Heidelberg.

Her main research interests include a. International politics , security politics / military sociology and peace / conflict research . She is a member u. a. in the Military and Social Sciences Working Group , in the European Integration Working Group , in the Working Group for Peace and Conflict Research and in the German Association for Political Sciences .
