In 2008 he started his breakthrough with a team called Creativ . He played for Team VeryGames for the first time in March 2009 . Even then he was an established top player, but after problems in the team he was released from the organization at the end of 2009. Shox then even played Counter-Strike 1.6 again in 2010, but he came back to Counter-Strike: Source. In 2010 and 2011 Papillon played for Team Roccat or Team LDLC before joining 3DMAX in February 2011, where Adil "ScreaM" Benrlitom competed together.

After only three months at 3DMAX, shox left the organization to rejoin Team VeryGames . Although he was one of the best players in the world and won the Electronic Sports World Cup in 2011 with the team , he was fired in late November 2011 due to internal problems. When Counter-Strike: Global Offensive came out in 2012 , shox switched to this game with ScreaM.

After stints with smaller teams, Papillon joined the VeryGames team for the last time in May 2013 , where he made it to the semi-finals in the first major in Jönköping ., HLTV voted shox the third best player of the year 2013. After the dissolution of Team VeryGames at the end of 2013, Papillon was affected by restructuring in the French scene and from then on played at Titan eSports or Epsilon eSports . In September 2014 Papillon became part of the quintet of Team LDLC with whom he celebrated his only major victory to date by winning the DreamHack Winter 2014 . After LDLC was taken over by Team EnVyUs in January 2015 , shox represented the US organization until July of that year. With EnVyUs, the Frenchman celebrated his last semi-final in a major tournament in Katowitz . After switching to Titan eSports again, Papillon was taken over by G2 Esports , where shox was used until the end of September, after the Singapore organization was dissolved in February 2016 .
