Toni Kähkönen (born September 29, 1986 in Vaasa ) is a Finnish ice hockey player who has been under contract with KooKoo in the Finnish Liiga since 2017 .

Career

Toni Kähkönen began his career as a hockey player in the youth of the Finnish first division club Espoo Blues , for whose professional team he made his debut in the SM-liiga in the 2006/07 season , where he remained unpunished in 13 games. In the following season the attacker was runner-up with the Blues, where he came in the main round and playoffs together on 14 scorer points in 48 games. In the 2008/09 season, the left-handed shooter managed to increase his yield again, scoring a total of 26 points in 57 games.

Between 2012 and 2014 he played for Kärpät Oulu and won the Finnish championship with the Wieseln in 2014 . After this success he moved to Leksands IF from the Swedish Svenska Hockeyligan . Then he was under contract with Karlskrona HK , also in the SHL, before returning to Kärpät in 2016.

He has been under contract with KooKoo since April 2017 , where he acts as team captain .
