Toni Price

Toni Preis (born May 30, 1945 in Eggenfelden ) is a German sculptor .

biography

From 1962 to 1965, Preis attended the technical school for sculptors in Berchtesgaden . From 1967 to 1973 he studied at the art academy with Hans Ladner and graduated with a diploma. From 1974 to 1975 he took part in the international sculpture symposium "Ambiente Friedhof" in Neumarkt / Upper Palatinate. From 1977 to 1978 he was research assistant to Jürgen Weber at the TU Braunschweig . From 1980 to 1990 he taught at the vocational training center for type and design in Munich. Preis has been a freelance sculptor since 1990.

In particular, Toni Preis made memorial plaques, including one for the Oktoberfest attack in 2018, for Ludwig Quidde and Thomas Wimmer, and busts for Klara Ziegler and Carl Spitzweg in the Munich Hall of Fame .
